SEATTLE + BOSTON // TRAVEL GUIDE
[big sigh] Sometimes it just feels good to be home, am I right?
The past 3 weeks have been spent traveling: first to the west coast, then the east coast and finally a quick road trip north.
All three trips included some much need adventuring [aka photography], food sampling, and quality time with friends + family.
But, there is no feeling like walking back through the front door after a long plane ride, dropping your suitcase down and welcoming a big slobbery kiss from the pup in your own home.
A few years ago, I was a passionate traveller, eager to get out and get away as often [and as cheaply] as I could. And, while some of that travel itch still tickles, I can’t help but feel a stronger tug back to my #jeffersongeneralstore.
I’m a natural nester, what can I say?
But! Since this nester has a new camera toy, here are some of my favorite shots from my week of traveling.
First stop: Seattle, WA
Logan's brother and sister-in-law live in Seattle so we were fortunate enough to have some experienced tour guides. Our visit included a day trip to Bainbridge Island, the Ballard Farmer's Market, and the Starbucks Reserve [which is basically coffee heaven].
A quick 12 hour layover in Indy before I boarded a plane to my next stop: Boston, MA.
A few years ago, my best friend + I vowed to take a girls trip together every year. This summer's trip landed in Boston for the long weekend. By the end of the trip, we were skilled subway riders who had visited Boston Common, Harvard, the Old Northside and my favorite, Brattle Book Shop [a historic bookstore who's stock spills over to the neighboring alley].
Thanks for stopping by! And yes, I'm writing this from the comfort of my own couch.
P.S. If you find yourself in either of these cities, bring comfortable shoes. You'll be sure to do a lot of walking!
P.S.S. A few of my pictures from Boston were taken by my talented travel companion and long time friend, Amber. Catch more of her great shots over on her Instagram [search @amills170].
