A Case of the Mondays
It seems that our office is having a case of the Mondays [even the computers were reluctant to start-up this morning]. A clear sign of full weekends.
Logan and I spent the weekend with family, splitting time for the holidays between his and mine.
We were brave enough to venture out to the stores this weekend and found some great deals at Target [$50 off when you buy $100 worth of Christmas decor] and World Market [nearly everything was buy 1 and get 1 free]. Don’t worry, we spent most of the $100 at Target on some outdoor lights that will be installed in our backyard come spring. Guess that leaves something to look forward to with a long winter ahead…
After much persuading, Logan convinced me it was time to decorate for Christmas. The house feels so cozy with all the lights and candles. The Grinch in me is learning to sit back and enjoy a home brewed macchiato beside the tree [which is decked out with football ornaments].
On Saturday, my dad drove down to Indianapolis to visit. I took him to Saint Joseph’s Brewery and Public House, a new place downtown I had been wanting to try. The restaurant is built inside an old church and serves a fair amount of hearty dishes. Later, I convinced the group to wander down the street to Ralston’s Draft House, where I promised there would be free shuffleboard.
Fun Fact: Grabareks are natural-born shuffleboard champions.
Sunday ended with a Colts victory and some relaxing snuggles with Floyd [He was quite worn out after having visitors, although I’d say the visitors were equally worn out by his endless games of tug-o-war.]
Back to Monday [sigh].
How was your holiday weekend?
