851 Jefferson in Photos
[First Time Home Series]
Sometimes pictures tell the better story, so here are a few snapshots, tracking the progress of our home. I’ll narrate when needed [but try to mostly stay quiet].
The story goes that 851 Jefferson was abandoned for several years before a local Indianapolis non-profit bought the property for less than $12,000 and began major renovations. The brick walls are original to the home's 1870s structure.
The renovations took more than a year to complete! As we waited patiently for the work to finish, Logan and I scoured antique malls, looking for inspiration and anything industrial that we could incorporate in our new space. More recent pictures coming up!
Floyd's had no trouble adapting to the new space... and neither have we! Logan and I are always bouncing ideas off of each other [more often him than me, since he's better at the whole decorating thing]. Will the project list ever stop growing?
In case you missed it, here's the first chapter in the First Time Home Series.
Stay tuned for adventures, mishaps, and DIY projects!
